NordVPN student discount: official offers and what we could verify

Yes. NordVPN has an official student discount in the US. It runs through Student Beans, which gives you a single-use code after you verify your status, and NordVPN also has a UNiDAYS listing. The Student Beans listing we checked on 13 October 2026 showed “Up to 79% off NordVPN 2-year plans + 3 months” and “Up to 67% off for a 1-year Plan.” We couldn’t see the price after verification, because that needs a verified student account. The regular price needs no code: Basic costs $94.23 for 27 months, then $139.08 a year, before sales tax. A student code is worth using only if your checkout total for the same plan and term comes in lower.

The official student offers we found

NordVPN’s own discount page advertises its 2-year deal at 75% off in total plus 3 extra months, and says the deal “applies worldwide to students, graduates, teachers, healthcare professionals, first responders, and military officers.” It also invites those groups to “Pick an extra 15% discount.” When it was opened from Lithuania, its button led to Student Beans’ UK page, so US readers should use the US listing below.

The Student Beans US listing, a NordVPN page hosted by Student Beans, showed two offers on 13 October 2026. Both are redeemed with a single-use code after verification.

That 22 October end time is 11:59 pm on 21 October in US Eastern time. The 2-year offer’s terms link to NordVPN’s terms of service and add: “*Vouchers will be sent between day 31 and day 50 from the date of purchase.” The captured terms don’t explain what the voucher is. We don’t know whether the 2-year offer will be extended or replaced, so if you’re reading this after 22 October, check the listing.

The UNiDAYS US listing is titled “Get up to 79% Off + 3 EXTRA months with a 2-year plan.” Its terms and code need a UNiDAYS login, which we didn’t create. Its “About NordVPN” text still says “Protect up to 6 devices,” which is out of date: NordVPN’s current plans list 10 devices.

Who qualifies

NordVPN’s statements about eligibility don’t match:

• Its discount page names students, graduates, teachers, healthcare professionals, first responders and military officers, worldwide.
• The Student Beans US page lists six groups: Student, Graduate, Healthcare, First Responder, Teacher and Military.
• A NordVPN help center article describes “an additional discount for students and apprentices who are 18-26 years old.”

Because the official statements differ, read the eligibility rules on the listing you use before you verify.

How to claim the NordVPN student discount

Student Beans describes three steps:

1. Create a free Student Beans account.
2. Verify your student status.
3. Reveal your code and enter it at NordVPN’s checkout.

Before you pay, check the checkout total, the number of months it covers and the renewal line. Each code is unique and single-use, so this page doesn’t publish one.

How a student code compares with the regular $94.23

“Up to” wording sets a ceiling, not your price. The real test is the checkout total for the plan and term you want, against the regular prices, which need no code:

To compare, divide the student checkout total by its months. The regular Basic 2-year plan works out to $3.49 a month ($94.23 ÷ 27). The Student Beans 2-year offer mentions “+ 3 months,” so check that checkout shows 27 months, as the regular plan does. A lower total for fewer months isn’t automatically a better deal.

Check the renewal too. NordVPN’s subscription terms say introductory prices are valid only for the “Initial Subscription Period.” We found no statement that a student code changes the renewal amount, which for Basic is $139.08 a year.
