What Surfshark calls its Black Friday deal

Surfshark’s Black Friday deal was already live on 13 October 2026. A banner across its site read “Hurry up! Grab our Black Friday deal here” and linked to the pricing page, where the Surfshark One card carried a “Black Friday deal” label. The labeled offer is One for $67.23 paid upfront for the first 27 months (24 months plus 3 extra), the same first bill as Starter. One then renews at $99.00 every 12 months before tax; Starter renews at $79.00.

So the deal doesn’t lower the bill. It gives you the larger bundle for Starter’s price, and the difference arrives at renewal. Surfshark had published no terms, start date or end date for the promotion, and no Cyber Monday offer had appeared.

The offer box above shows Starter, the plan this site quotes. Surfshark’s pricing page lists One beside it at the same first price, so you choose between them on that page.

The bill: Starter and the Black Friday One deal

The “$2.49/mo.” on both cards is a monthly equivalent: $67.23 ÷ 27 = $2.49. The full amount is charged at checkout, and tax is added for your location. A New York checkout on 13 October 2026 showed $67.23 plus $5.97 sales tax (8.875%), for a total of $73.20. Surfshark’s billing page says renewals are taxed at the rate on the charge date.

Both 27-month prices were the same in every price group Surfshark was testing on 13 October, which makes them the most dependable figures here. The Surfshark price guide lists every plan and term.

What One adds for the extra $20.00 a year

Starter includes the VPN, with the CleanWeb ad and cookie pop-up blocker, Bypasser split tunneling, Rotating IP and Dynamic MultiHop, plus Alternative ID. One adds Scam protection (scam text protection, an email scam checker and a web content blocker, with scam call protection marked “Coming soon”), Antivirus, Alert and Search. Search is missing from the plan cards on the pricing page, but Surfshark’s renewal table and plan-options article include it. Both plans cover unlimited simultaneous devices.

If you would use Antivirus, Alert, Search or the scam tools, the Black Friday deal gives you them for the first 27 months at no extra upfront cost. After that, each renewal year costs $20.00 more than Starter ($99.00 − $79.00). If you only want the VPN, Starter’s lower renewal is the better fit.

What didn’t change

• Starter’s price. Starter carries no Black Friday label. It costs $67.23 for 27 months and renews at $79.00 a year, the figures in this site’s regular Surfshark quote.
• Renewal amounts. The labeled One deal renews at $99.00 a year, the amount in Surfshark’s standard renewal table. The label doesn’t come with a special renewal price.
• Partner links. Surfshark’s affiliate deals page printed only “from” monthly prices, with no totals, renewals or tax note. At checkout its totals matched the regular pricing page in the same price group, so the partner offer checked for this page did not unlock a lower price.

Surfshark’s Black Friday page is out of date

Surfshark’s dedicated Black Friday page still carried last year’s title, “The best Black Friday VPN deal in 2025”, and a description quoting 1.99 EUR per month with 4 months extra. That is leftover euro text, not this year’s US price. The page body showed the current offer instead: “From $8.25 $2.49 /mo. + 3 mo. EXTRA”. The struck-through $8.25 matches One’s renewal spread over a year: $99.00 ÷ 12 = $8.25.

Black Friday and Cyber Monday 2026 dates

Black Friday 2026 is on 27 November, and Cyber Monday is on 30 November. On 13 October Surfshark had not said whether its offer would change on either day, and it had not published an end date. That’s why this page has no countdown: without published terms, the “Hurry up!” banner isn’t a deadline you can plan around.

A bill-first checklist for Black Friday VPN deals

• Upfront total and months. Read “$67.23 for the first 27 months”, not “$2.49/mo.”
• Renewal amount and interval. Find it in the provider’s renewal table or checkout. Surfshark lists $79.00, $99.00 and $119.00 a year for Starter, One and One+.
• Lower price or bigger bundle. Surfshark’s 2026 deal is a bigger bundle at the same price.
• Savings badges. Surfshark’s struck-through “old prices” differ between visitors because of a price test, so the percentage depends on which version you see. Compare totals instead.
• Your own checkout total. Surfshark is testing prices for its 12-month and 1-month terms and for One+ over 27 months. One+ showed $121.23 in the default group and $107.73 in one test group, renewing at $119.00 a year either way.
• Tax. It’s added at checkout and again at each renewal.

Surfshark hasn’t said whether the price will fall on Black Friday, so this page can’t tell you. Judge the offer by the bill in front of you. If $67.23 for 27 months, followed by $79.00 or $99.00 a year, fits your budget, the date on the calendar doesn’t change that arithmetic.
